What it does
- Adds a pay-by-bank option to your existing checkout
- Offers your customers a discount for paying by bank, if you switch it on
- Works with the checkout block and the older shortcode checkout
- Marks the order paid from a signed notification, not the customer returning
- Sends the customer back to your order-received page
- Retries if your shop is briefly unreachable
What it does not do
- Take card payments. Keep your card gateway alongside it
- Refunds from the WooCommerce order screen. Those are made in BriizPay
- Subscriptions or saved payers. Each payment is approved by the customer
- Shops priced in anything but pounds
Setting it up
- 1Create a BriizPay account and get your business approved.
- 2Download the plugin and upload it in WordPress under Plugins, Add New, Upload.
- 3In BriizPay, open Integrations, choose WooCommerce and enter your shop address.
- 4Copy the two values it gives you into the plugin settings, and enable it.

Common questions
Does BriizPay replace my card payments in WooCommerce?
No, and it is not meant to. BriizPay adds a pay-by-bank option next to whatever card gateway you already use. Your customer picks whichever they prefer at checkout, and you keep taking cards exactly as you do now.
What does my customer see?
A payment option at checkout. Choosing it sends them to a page where they pick their bank and approve the payment in their own banking app, then back to your order-received page. Nothing is installed on their phone and no card details are involved.
When does the order get marked paid?
When BriizPay tells your shop the payment succeeded, which normally happens within a second or two of the customer approving it. The plugin does not rely on the customer returning to your site, so an order still completes if they close the tab.
Does it work with the WooCommerce checkout block?
Yes, and with the older shortcode checkout. The plugin registers a payment method for both, so it appears wherever your shop takes payments.
What happens if my shop is down when a payment succeeds?
We retry. Delivery is at-least-once with a backoff, so a shop that was mid-deploy or briefly unreachable still receives the notification and marks the order paid when it comes back.
Do I need a card machine or any hardware?
No. Everything happens in the customer's own banking app and your existing WooCommerce checkout.
