How does BriizPay work?
BriizPay lets you take a payment without a card machine. You create the payment in the app and either show a QR code or send a payment link by text, email or WhatsApp. Your customer scans or taps it, picks their bank, and approves the payment in their own banking app. The money moves bank to bank over Faster Payments and usually arrives in seconds.
Nothing is installed on your customer's phone. The QR code or link opens their existing banking app with the amount already filled in, and they approve it with the same security checks they use for any other payment.
No card details are involved at any point, so there is no card reader to buy, charge or replace. All you need is a phone and a UK business bank account.
BriizPay confirms the payment to you as soon as your customer approves it. We still recommend checking the money has landed in your bank app before handing anything over.
